Filmstock number 8 was a smashing success. This time out I was flying solo and was able to stay with Festival Director Neil Fox and the lovely Roma. They were gracious enough to put me in their living room at Woodland Court. From there it was a brisk 15 minute walk (the way I walk) to the Hat Factory and the various screenings. I saw some very good films this year and saw some old friends from Filmstock 6. No Connection ran on Monday night in the basement during one of the experimental sessions. It was really the least experimental film of the lot and consequently got a wonderful reception from those who attended. I got a lot of excellent feedback on the film which was most gratifying.  And, oh yeah, I went into London a couple of times to renew my fondness for the big town. Hit some museums and galleries (fun for me) and generally walked around. I hope I can go back again one of these days.
